EMIS recognises that transferring data from one EMR system to another is one of the most important aspects of moving to a new system, therefore we treat it with high priority.

Working together for a successful data transfer

EMIS takes a collaborative approach towards data transfer, to ensure that it is completed to your satisfaction. You will work closely with a designated member of EMIS’ specialist Data Transfer Department, and together we will ensure that your data transfer is successfully converted.

Meeting your requirements

No two data transfers are the same. Your database is individual to your physician clinic: the way in which data has been recorded and the coding sets used, have led to a unique structure for your EMR system. EMIS will carry out each data transfer according to your individual requirements. Our aim is to ensure that the transfer runs as smoothly as possible, to populate your EMIS system with as much data as possible.

EMIS provides a full data transfer service, which goes beyond the actual transfer itself. Your data transfer consultant will ensure that any issues or specific needs that you have are incorporated into the transfer.

Quality assurance

During the data transfer process, you will be involved in a number of detailed quality checks on your data to ensure that it is carried out to your and our high standards. Only when you are happy with the quality of your data will it be loaded into your new EMIS system.

The EMIS data transfer department have successfully completed over 4,500 data transfers from more than 60 different sources. This means that approximately 27 million patient records have been transferred from a third party EMR system to an EMIS system.
