The Coding Team has experience with a number of different Classifications, Terminologies, and Nomenclatures

These include:

  • International Classification of diseases, ninth revision (ICD-9)
  • International Classification of diseases, ninth revision, clinical modification (ICD-9-CM)
  • International Classification of diseases and health related problems, tenth revision(ICD-10)
  • International Classification of diseases and health related problems, tenth revision, Canadian modification (ICD-10-CA)
  • Office population, census and surveys, fourth revision (OPCS-4)
  • Canadian Classification of Interventions(CCI)
  • Systematised Nomenclature of Medicine Clinical Terms (SNOMED CT)
  • Clinical terms (The Read Codes) versions 1,2 and 3
  • International Classification of Primary Care (ICPC)
  • Logical Observation Identifiers Names and Codes (LOINC)
  • pCLMN (pan-Canadian Laboratory Messaging Nomenclature)

The team understands that standards within this area are continually evolving and are dedicated to keeping up to date with such developments.
