An automated patient check-in kiosk will cut reception queues and allow your reception team to focus on other important tasks.
Patient check-in kiosks feature a touch-screen monitor that allows patients to confirm their arrival for an appointment electronically, rather than at the reception desk.
Patient self check-in
Patients can simply enter their date of birth via a touch-screen keypad on the kiosk to check themselves in. The system verifies the data, confirms the patient’s identity, and simultaneously alerts the receptionist via the central EMIS system.
Fully integrated within the EMIS clinical system, the check-in kiosk is aware of all appointments made with physicians, nurses or other healthcare professionals working at the clinic.
Special check-in features
Automated patient check-in kiosks provide a high level of system functionality to support clinic and patient use. Useful features include:
- Multi language options to enable non-English speaking patients to use the system
- Global clinic messaging to allow the clinic to communicate important announcements to patients, such as flu vaccinations
- Target patient messaging can display an individual message for a specific group of patients, for example, patients that are due for a BP check
