EMIS training
A comprehensive training package, consisting of 20 on-site training sessions, is included with all EMIS system installations.
Training is delivered to two nominated clinic staff members during the first year, according to an agreed training programme. This covers all of the main aspects of the clinical system. The cost of this training is incorporated in the initial quotation.
Clinics can choose from an extensive range of training courses, which have been specially developed to provide varying levels of system knowledge. New users may prefer to complete fundamental training such as ‘Getting started’ to gain a basic familiarity of the system, and build up to more in-depth subjects relating to key EMIS modules, such as scheduling or patient registration.
EMIS will help you plan and select the appropriate training modules, to help you make the most of your new EMR system.
Managed by an experienced team of field-based trainers, EMIS training courses are available as half day or full day sessions, and can be scheduled to meet the requirements of your individual clinic. Physician clinics can choose to schedule training around the installation of the system, spread the sessions across a period of time, or a combination of both – whatever suits your clinic best.
Key training sessions include:
- Getting started
- System maintenance
- Patient registration
- Prescribing
- Drug database
- Medical Record
- Consultation mode
- Scheduling
- Searches
- Templates
- Billing
EMIS can offer additional training to groups or individuals within the practice on the use of scanners, Microsoft Windows, Word or Excel. We recommend initial Windows and Word training for anyone new to a Windows environment.
