Search & audit
A comprehensive search and audit module allows medical records to be searched to produce complexly defined groups of patients, as specified by the practice.
A user friendly interface provides an easy to understand display including trend display, criteria display and ‘check patient’ display.
Useful features of EMIS search and audit include:
- Search parameters that can be edited at any time and saved. Where search parameters are date sensitive (such as age ranges) they will automatically update
- The results of any search can be tabulated by age and sex in banded age groups
- Patient lists that can be downloaded to disk, printed or exported
- The facility to mail merge personalize letters to all patients in a list using Microsoft Word integration.
In addition to simple searching, the system enables the user to build and carry out any practice audit. Audits can be user defined, but EMIS has created system audits for preventative care.
Searches and audits simplify and ensure the efficiency of the process of managing preventative care, and can be used to manage recall schedules. The system keeps an extensive diary from which lists of patients due for recall can be created, and standard, personalized letters printed. Search results can also be displayed graphically for comparison.
