Organizer

EMIS organizer is a useful EMR management tool that has been designed to assist physicians and other clinic staff with the day to day running of a busy physician clinic.

Using the organizer can aid communication between physicians and enable staff to quickly view appointment schedules and tasks in advance. Task lists can be filtered to show those tasks assigned to you or tasks that you have issued to other users.

Organizer options can be configured to the personal preference of the user. For example, a physician may choose to view appointment sessions scheduled for the next five days as well as the latest lab results returned, whereas a receptionist may prefer to see only the daily task list.

Organizer can assist physician clinics to:

  • organize a list of tasks that need to be performed
  • facilitate the completion of those tasks
  • schedule additional tasks
  • communicate information about tasks that need to be performed to other physician clinic users.

The difference between the organizer and a more generic electronic mechanism such as email, is that the items involved are related to specific healthcare record entries, which enables physicians to quickly access the patient EMR from the Organizer.

If preferred, users can bypass the organizer and go straight to the EMIS menu page.
