UK clinical software takes the lead worldwide

A recent survey has shown that clinical software developed in the UK leads the field worldwide when it comes to supporting clinicians in delivering patient care.
Research conducted by The Commonwealth Fund has shown that out of 7 countries, clinical systems used in the UK are better at supporting clinicians in certain key areas, including:
- use of EMRs
- management of chronic care
- tracking medical errors
- decision support
- computerised alerts
- providing information on overdue tests etc.
