EMIS Inc. Successfully Completes Conformance Testing in BC
Physicians using EMIS’ solution now eligible for reimbursement under PITO Program
Victoria, British Columbia - 8 December 2008 - EMIS Inc. is pleased to announce that it has successfully completed the conformance testing process under the Physician Information Technology Office (PITO) program. The process was comprised of an arduous review of all aspects of EMIS' solution, including privacy, security, technical capability and functionality. EMIS has now demonstrated that EMIS Patient Care System (PCS) meets or exceeds the mandated needs of care providers throughout BC, including chronic disease management and fully integrated electronic billing through provincial programs such as MSP and WCB. As a result of achieving this milestone, qualifying physicians wishing to implement EMIS' Patient Care System (PCS) are now eligible for reimbursement from the PITO program.

EMIS Inc.'s PCS is unique among other EMRs in that in addition to the basic functions of billing, scheduling, and monitoring chronic patients, PCS is capable of enabling physicians to provide preventative care to patients.
